Greetings Fellow Titans,

As the days get shorter and close out another summer, I wanted to take a minute to welcome back our staff, coaches and especially the student-athletes for what will be an experience unlike any other. Count on things looking and feeling differently, but understand we have been working very hard to make sure your time on campus will be the best and safest we can possibly make it.

Last year was filled with great optimism and successful campaigns that were unfortunately cut short by a global pandemic, and even though we are hopeful for competitive opportunities that remain viable, it is essential you understand that you play an important role in the future of athletics as we all are being asked to adhere to new guidelines, policies and procedures during this academic year. I have no doubt that each and every one of you are up to the challenge and looking forward to getting started, as any Titan would be.

We are committed to doing things the best way we can in order to be safe and successful. Not only are we administrators, coaches and staff, we are also educators. While we strive to be successful on the field, we are preparing you for life after collegiate competition that involves preparation, teamwork and dedication, the building blocks and the embodiment of athletics.

While we finalize the remaining pieces of the welcome back experience, I want to say remember you are Titans, like our forefathers from Greek mythology, we are strong, protective, resilient, capable, willing and determined to overcome any obstacle. There is no doubt we face many challenges ahead, but we will do so as Titans. I look forward to seeing you all on campus and welcome back.

Hail Titans!
