Robert Roberts

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh announced Friday the appointment of Robert Roberts as Vice Chancellor for University Affairs.

Roberts has been serving as the interim Vice Chancellor for University Affairs, a position formerly titled Vice Chancellor for University Advancement, since January 2019. The appointment is effective immediately.

As a key member of UWO’s executive team and Cabinet, the Vice Chancellor for University Affairs is accountable to the Chancellor for providing leadership on the overall positioning of the University brand and for guiding the University Affairs teams’ activities, including fundraising and development, alumni relations, corporate relations, community relations, government relations, marketing, communications, information technology (IT), economic development, customized research and services, and ceremonies and events.

Roberts has a lengthy history working for UW System and UWO, in particular. He led the institution’s response to the events surrounding the UWO Foundation and its recent merger with the Titan Alumni Foundation. He helped manage the restructuring of UWO’s Information Technology division, helped strengthen the relationship between the institution’s Admissions, Enrollment Management and University Marketing and Communications functions, and has absorbed many responsibilities held by two previous IT and UMC Cabinet-level administrative positions.
