More than 1,000 students from all three University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campuses will graduate together during the 55th Midyear Commencement at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at Kolf Sports Center, 785 High Ave., on the Oshkosh campus.

The event marks the first time students from the Fond du Lac, Fox Cities and Oshkosh campuses will be recognized for their academic achievements during the same ceremony. The Higher Learning Commission approved the joining of UW Oshkosh, UW-Fond du Lac and UW-Fox Valley (now the Fox Cities campus) into one university in June 2018.

UW Oshkosh Chancellor Andrew Leavitt will confer diplomas to nearly 900 undergraduates, more than 140 master’s degree candidates and three Doctor of Education candidates.

Angela Subulwa, associate professor and geography department chair, will offer the commencement address on behalf of the faculty. Leo Costello, a multimedia journalism major from Oshkosh, will deliver remarks as the graduating class speaker. State Rep. Dianne Hesselbein will relay greetings from the state.

live, streaming video is available for those who cannot attend the commencement ceremony on the Oshkosh campus. In addition to a live streaming webcast, attendees, online audiences, alumni and UW Oshkosh friends and followers alike are invited to join in on the conversation on UW Oshkosh’s social networks —Facebook and Twitter; use #uwograd as a Twitter hashtag.
