56th Midyear Commencement of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh

The rapidly evolving nature of the COVID-19 disruption has called upon students, faculty and staff to take a series of unprecedented steps to safeguard our communities. Titans have risen to the challenges presented to them responding with resilience, grace and compassion. Settling into new in person and online environments has redefined the way we connect with our friends, family and classmates.

As we prepare for midyear commencement, the format of our celebration remains influenced by coronavirus. While we had hoped we would be in a different place by now, we realize the threat of spread from this virus remains strong and we must move our midyear ceremony online.

The online ceremony be live streamed by Titan TV and the radio, tv film department and will feature formal remarks, Chancellor Andrew J Leavitt, Provost John Koker and student representative Sydney Devitt.

During the week of December 14th graduates will be given a URL and access instructions to view the Virtual Ceremony.

The ceremony will include video messages from:

    • Chancellor Andrew J. Leavitt
    • Provost and Vice Chancellor John Koker
    • Guest Speaker Dr. John Newman
    • Student Speaker Sydney Devitt
    • Land Acknowledgement Reading
    • National Anthem and Alma Mater
