The Department Leadership, Literacy and Social Foundations offers its continuing education programs on campus and in cohort sites around Wisconsin. Center for Literacy Educators and Leaders
The Center for Literacy Educators and Leaders is the first choice of teachers and school leaders who want to improve literacy learning.
Our internationally recognized faculty and staff offer professional development, consultation and graduate programs to improve PK-12 students’ reading, writing, speaking, listening and interpreting of media.
Children's Literature Conference
The annual Children’s Literature Conference is designed for PK-12 teachers, literacy leaders, school administrators and librarians.
The conference features keynote presentations by authors of books for children and young adults. The authors will sign books, which will be available for purchase at the conference.
Fox Valley Writing Project
Based out of the UWO College of Education and Human Services, the Fox Valley Writing Project (FVWP) began in 1986 as a local network affiliated with the National Writing Project.
FVWP brings K-12 educators across disciplines and at all levels to work together to grow as teachers of literacy, as readers, as writers and as professional leaders themselves.
