Literacy and Language
The Department of Literacy and Language offers its continuing education programs on campus and in cohort sites around Wisconsin. Cohorts can be formed by CESA, individual, and/or clusters of school districts. Contact Cathy Toll, graduate program coordinator to discuss your potential cohort.
Professional Development Programs
The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Department of Literacy and Language will offer its annual Children’s Literature Conference designed for PK-12 teachers, literacy leaders, school administrators and librarians. The conference features four keynote presentations by authors of books for children and young adults. The authors will sign books, which will be available for purchase at the conference.
Based out of the UWO College of Education and Human Services, the Fox Valley Writing Project (FVWP) began in 1986 as a local network affiliated with the National Writing Project.
Using the principle of “teachers teaching teachers,” FVWP bring K-12 educators across disciplines and at all levels to work together in a collaborative network that empowers teachers to grow as teachers of literacy, as readers, as writers, and as professional leaders themselves.
