Special and Early Childhood Education

An education from UW Oshkosh is a transformative experience that prepares future teachers to be effective in the classroom. Titans build upon a broad knowledge of the wider world as well as in-depth study in a specific area of interest.

LEVERAGE PREVIOUSLY EARNED CREDITS

UW Oshkosh’s Career Pathways in Special and Early Childhood Education program is designed for students who have earned their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in early childhood education from any Wisconsin Technical College. This program creates a clear path to state licensure in both early childhood special education and early childhood education by leveraging previously earned credits.

Students transferring with an eligible associate degree transfer in 45 credits into the UW Oshkosh early childhood special education and early childhood education program. Classes are taught in flexible formats including on-campus and online. Majoring in special education results in DUAL licensure in:

  • Early Childhood Education | Prekindergarten to Age 8 (General Education 777-070)
  • Early Childhood Special Education | Birth to Age 8 (Special Education 809)
