Assault – Strong Armed Robbery (UPDATE)

The Oshkosh Police Department has two people in custody in connection with a recent series of three strong-armed robberies that occurred in the UW-Oshkosh area. A strong-armed robbery occurs when someone intentionally steals property from another by using force.

A 24 year old Oshkosh man was taken into custody Saturday and a 22 year-old Oshkosh man was taken into custody today. Both are believed to have committed strong-armed robberies together on May 27 where a cell phone was taken and on May 30 where two wallets were taken. They are also believed to have attempted a strong-armed robbery on May 28 where the victim was beaten but nothing was taken.

Charges against both subjects will be considered by the Winnebago County District Attorneys office this week.
