As part of the reconstruction of Algoma Boulevard, the intersection of West New York Avenue and Algoma Boulevard is planned to close to all traffic the afternoon of Thursday, Sept. 22. and it will remain closed through 7 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 26.
The intersection closure will occur after student pick-up from nearby Read Elementary School on Thursday afternoon. This closure is required to complete paving work at this intersection and this is the least impactful way to close this intersection.
Motorists are urged to plan alternate routes and expect delays due to the closure and to use caution when approaching any construction zone.
