Crime after COVID-19: An examination of index crimes in Winnebago county

Abstract
This study examines the effect of COVID-19 and the response to thepandemic on index crimes in Winnebago County. The analysis
compares different crimes (violent, property, OWI, and drug crimes)over the span of the pandemic (April 2018 through April 2022) tobetter understand how COVID-19 has impacted our lives.
