The Global Scholar Option is a 12-credit self-directed course of study open to all UW Oshkosh students who wish to distinguish themselves as emerging global citizens prepared to navigate an increasingly complex and interdependent world. Global Scholars deepen their learning and engagement with global issues with a significant hands-on experience such as service learning, alternative spring break, a clinical placement, faculty-student collaborative research, or study abroad/away. UWO Global Scholars are distinguished at graduation and on their transcripts.

For more information about the Global Scholar Option and the relationship between Global Scholar, USP and our Essential Learning Outcomes, see the Global Learning at UWO and the Global Scholar Council tabs on the side bar.

For questions or to schedule a presentation for your department, please contact Michael Baltutis, Chair of the Global Council.
