The Voice of the Student Body

Oshkosh Student Association

What is the OSA?

The Oshkosh Student Association (OSA) is the student government that represents all students regarding issues and policies relating to academic and non-academic concerns. Established in 1959, we advocate for the best interests of the students at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.  The State of Wisconsin affords all students the opportunity to provide input in all operations of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Voicing Opinions, Representing the Student Body

The OSA is instrumental in voicing the opinions of the student body to University faculty, University of Wisconsin System administration, and the state and federal governments.  OSA created Differential Tuition in 2004 to help supplement areas where budgets were severely cut by the state.  Differential Tuition helped preserve quality student services such as the Writing Center,  Academic Advising, Career Services, Counseling Center, and the Reading Study Center. Other services and programs the OSA provides to the student body include the Cabinet (food pantry), the UWO Go transit system, Student Legal Services, and Titan Discount Club.

The OSA currently supports approximately 130 student organizations at UW Oshkosh and oversees the approval and recognition of these student organizations.

OSA Mission

The Oshkosh Student Association (OSA) works inclusively towards advocating for and representing the voice of the student body by ensuring integrity, stewardship, and diversity to enhance the experience of every student within the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

OSA Vision

The Oshkosh Student Association (OSA) looks to grow the organization to amplify its advocacy across the shared governance on campus and across the state by promoting students, sustainability, diversity, and progressive leadership.

Students interested in joining OSA as a senator or committee member are encouraged to email osa@uwosh.edu or call (920) 424-3202.
