FRANKLIN ROBERTS

B.S. in Radio-TV-Film, Minor in Creative Writing

Faculty praise for Franklin

Ron Rindo: “Executive Producer of a Titan TV show about new music called “Breaking Sounds” known for his collection of pop culture t-shirts, particularly those celebrating rock bands, Franklin Roberts is another Radio-TV-Film major who brought his talents to our English minor. In creative writing classes, Franklin displayed his range as a talented writer of fantasy and as a helpful, enthusiastic editor who never met a story he didn’t want to revise.”

Laura Jean Baker: “Franklin appears intimidating on the surface with his long-haired and flinty martial arts postures in the classroom, but I guarantee, nobody will make you laugh the way Franklin does. His best creative images include a headless scuba diver, a boy fighting a literal cold war from atop an elementary-school snow fort, and a factory worker making cardboard castles on an assembly line. A dual master of subtext and hyperbole, Franklin is less than intimidating. He is a sight and sound for sore senses.”
