Commuter Students

Commuter students have a variety of permit options to choose from, based on their course schedule and their duration on campus. Annual permits are valid from Sept. 1 through Aug. 31 each year.

Parking permits are now digital — enforced via License Plate Recognition (LPR). This means you will not receive any physical permit, because your license plate is your permit. Therefore, it is the permit holder’s responsibility to maintain an accurate vehicle record.  If there is any need to change vehicle(s) associated with a permit, please log in to the parking portal and make the necessary changes directly under your permit.

Keep in mind: All employee/commuter/visitor lots are closed from midnight until 6 a.m. Vehicles parked in employee/commuter/visitor lots after midnight may be ticketed and towed.

In addition, commuter permits are not valid in AMP Park spaces.  When parking in those spaces, payment must be made through the AMP Park app (available for free download on Apple or Google Play) or via aimsmobilepay.com.

Multi-Vehicle Permits

Permits are never to be transferred or sold to another person. Permit-holders have the option to add additional personal vehicles to the permit. At no time are the primary and any secondary/subsequent vehicle(s) allowed to be used on campus at the same time. Failure to comply with this regulation will result in a ticket for each vehicle.

Latenight Parking

Commuter students who have a valid parking permit and are working in the Halsey computer lab between midnight and 6 a.m. may park in Lot 17 (located on Scott Ave.) by emailing Parking Services at parking@uwosh.edu or calling (920) 424-4455 and providing name, vehicle license plate number, make and color.

Students without a valid parking permit may also park in Lot 17 to use the Halsey computer lab between midnight and 6 a.m., but they must use the app AMP Park to purchase the needed time.  The app is available for free download on Apple or Google.  Then email Parking Services at parking@uwosh.edu or call (920) 424-4455 and provide name, vehicle license plate number, make and color.

Any other commuter student required to park on campus after midnight Monday through Thursday should contact Parking Services to make arrangements.
