Dr. Schuttlefield Christus’ research is based on sustainability as her group searches for new materials that could potentially split water into hydrogen and oxygen to capture the hydrogen for fuel. They are also examining the chemistry that occurs on various environmental interfaces due to pollution in the water and atmosphere. Additionally, they are looking for ways create sustainable methods of capture for these contaminants which could then be recycled and used in other processes.
