Research Interests: Energy Resources, Natural Resources, Paleo-Climate and Climate Change, Oceanography, Government Advisement
Dr. Hiatt studies ancient environments and how the Earth and the biosphere have co-evolved. His research includes study of natural resources and ancient climate, and he has advised government officials regarding resources in Australia, Brazil, and Guyana. Dr. Hiatt teaches field-based courses in Bermuda and the Florida Keys that highlight the human impact on marine environments and climate.
