BENJAMIN HALLETT

Assistant Professor of Geology
310 Harrington Hall
hallettb@uwosh.edu

Research Interests: Chemistry of Earth Systems, Sustainability of Mineral Resources, Earth History and Chemical Change

Hallett teaches (1) Physical Geology and Physical Geology Quest 1 with focus on sustainability of earth resources, natural processes, and human society, (2) a Mineral Deposits course on the geologic evolution of earth resources and responsible/sustainable development of minerals, and (3) a Geochemistry course addressing interactions of earth’s chemical systems such as the atmosphere (climate) and ocean chemistry. Hallett’s research is focused on long term earth processes (tectonics) that act to arrange and redistribute key earth resources such as those of energy and minerals.
