Hands On Earth Month 2021

 

Join us for a month-long of events honoring Earth Month and Earth Day on April 22nd! Individual events can also be found on our Sustainability Calendar.

 

Looking to get outside this spring? Do you need to log some hours for volunteering credit? 

Participate in our month-long litter pick-up challenge with Litterati 

Every piece that is documented with a photo on the app between April 5th and April 30th will be included in our challenge! Going into the grocery store? Pick up litter! At the bus stop? Pick up litter! Out for a walk? Pick up litter!

3) No need to make an account! Just snap a picture of each piece of litter you pick up as part of our challenge. Our goal is 500 pieces between our 3 campuses!

Tree planting and mulching with the UWO Grounds Crew, Oshkosh campus 

Work with the Grounds crew in various locations around campus to help plant trees in observance of Arbor Day on Friday April 30th. In addition, crews will be spreading mulch. If you are interested in helping or having your class involved:

Fox-Wolf Watershed Cleanup 

Fox-Wolf’s 2021 Fox-Wolf Watershed Cleanup event set to take place on Saturday, May 1st from 9-11:30 a.m. We are looking to have volunteers clean up the UW-Oshkosh riverfront area as we have for several years, but feel free to sign up for any of the locations in the watershed!. For the UWO site we will meet at Culver Family Welcome Center parking lot – bags, gloves, etc. provided.
