Tuition and Financial Aid for Online Degree Programs

When planning out your budget for your college career, please keep in mind a few items that you may be required to pay for.

  • Tuition
  • Specific course fees: A handful of our courses require students to pay specific course fees. Those nominal fees will be communicated to you by your instructors before the start of the course.
  • Textbooks: Students will be given the titles, editions and authors of their required textbooks. Books can be purchased through University Books & More, but many students look online for deals on used textbooks, as well as e-books and book rentals.

For more information on University of Wisconsin Oshkosh student fees, please contact the Student Accounts office at (920) 424-1332 or e-mail sa@uwosh.edu.

Payment Options

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh offers two tuition and fee payment options to all students:

  • Full payment option – The entire semester cost of tuition is due at the beginning of the semester.
  • Partial payment option – Semester cost of tuition is paid in three installments throughout the main academic semesters and in two installments in summer term.

For more information, please visit the Student Financial Services page.

Aid, Scholarships and Grants

Financial aid is available for students who qualify, and we also welcome Veteran’s benefits and employer reimbursement. For more information on financial aid options, please contact the Office of Financial Aid.

Federal Application Form for Student Aid (FAFSA)

The federal government offers financial aid in terms of grants, loans and work study. Financial aid is largely granted in terms of student need. Please visit the Financial Aid Office website for more information on how and when to apply for FAFSA.

Tuition Reimbursement

Many employers offer partial or full tuition reimbursement to employees who are attending college. Check with your company’s human resources department to find out if any educational benefits are offered. If your employer offers a tuition reimbursement policy, you may qualify to defer your tuition. Speak with one of our advisors to discuss this option.

Scholarships

There are many public and private scholarships that UW Oshkosh online students qualify for. The Financial Aid Office keeps a running list of available scholarships, and we recommend you start there. Additionally, there are several reputable scholarship search engines:

  • Broke Scholar: Online scholarship search engine that allows you to search for scholarships that apply directly to you.
  • College Board: A collection of public and private scholarships that allows you to fill out a questionnaire to match you with the appropriate scholarships.
  • Fast Web: Gives advice on applying for scholarships and provides advice on the financial aid process.
  • Student Scholarship Search: A scholarship and grant search engine.
  • NextStudent: A resource for the entire financial aid process—from applying for scholarships to paying your loans after graduation.
