University of Wisconsin Oshkosh

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh provides a high-quality liberal arts education to all students to prepare them to become successful leaders in an increasingly diverse and global society. Their dedicated faculty and staff are committed to innovative teaching, research, economic development, entrepreneurship, and community engagement to create a more sustainable future for Wisconsin and beyond.

Unique to UW Oshkosh, ArtsCore provides opportunities for students pursuing degrees in education interested in teaching in and through the arts. Preservice teachers can participate in two free professional development events per academic year, Bridge Day and the Arts Integration Symposium where they will experience field tested arts integration lessons led by regional teachers using this approach in their classrooms.  Students may also join the ArtsCore Student Organization (ASO), receive an ArtsCore scholarship, apply for paid internships, and participate in ArtsCore’s student teaching options.

Additionally, University Faculty Collaborators serve on the ArtsCore Leadership Team and support ArtsCore initiatives through their courses. ArtsCore supports faculty by offering Curriculum Implementation Grants to fund projects that center on arts integration as an approach to teaching.
