Of note, prerequisites cannot be taken concurrently (i.e. J340 and J440 cannot be taken in the same semester). Registration for all certificate courses are handled through the Department of Journalism office. Seats in courses are set aside separately for journalism majors/minors and certificate students. Also, if you are seeking a certificate and are interested in registering for additional journalism classes, you must meet with a journalism adviser to get enrolled.
