Alumni

We take pride in seeing our alumni working in the media fields toward informing society, pursuing innovation and advancing creativity. Since our first graduates in 1969, more than 2,800 students have successfully completed the program. We love to network with our alumni to see their success and help connect past and current students for courses, internships and opportunities in the field.

In October 2018, we welcomed more than 300 alumni and media professionals to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Department of Advertising, Multimedia Journalism and Public Relations. Mariah Haberman ’10, host of Discover Wisconsin (pictured above) and Brody Karmenzind ’14, client solutions manager at Facebook were among honored alumni speaking at the event. The department welcomes alumni to connect on our Facebook page and by sharing updates.

The UW Oshkosh Alumni Office has recognized AMP alumni with 35 outstanding and distinguished alumni awards.

You can find our alumni working locally in the Fox Valley to around the nation in Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Abroad, you will find Tom Hanaway ’10, covering the news for The Japan Times and Rebekah Peppler ’12, writing about food in Paris.
