How You Can Help
Despite good planning, sometimes needs arise due to unexpected opportunities or unanticipated needs. Donations to the unrestricted annual fund give the Foundation board discretion in directing funds to various needs at the Fox Cities campus.
Scholarships make the difference to academically deserving students who want to attend college when they lack the financial ability to pay for tuition, books, supplies and other related expenses.
Endowed Scholarships are sustained through a large donation that is invested so that the scholarship is funded through earnings generated by the principle. The Foundation will work with endowed scholarship donors to structure the scholarship according to the donor’s wishes. Minimum gift levels are required to establish a named scholarship fund.
A charitable gift of any amount through a bequest can support the Fox Cities campus long after the donor is gone. Individuals who inform the UW-Fox Valley Foundation of their intention to include the college in their estate plans will be inducted into the new Fox Heritage Society. The society honors donors of deferred gifts such as bequests, life insurance policies or trusts.
Funding Specific Needs
Directed gifts allow the Fox Cities campus to address special, one-time needs. Designated gifts may create new programs, sustain existing programs through endowments, purchase equipment or address other needs. The Barlow Planetarium, Weis Earth Science Museum, and Engineering Laboratory are all examples of areas on campus that have been created and have benefited through designated gifts. Please contact the Foundation office for a list of current designated gift opportunities.
This funds helps defray the expenses of conferences, workshops and other educational opportunities so that our faculty and staff are able to stay current in their field. Keeping our faculty and staff on the forefront of developments in their discipline not only benefits the faculty and staff but also our students. The Foundation provides nearly half of the annual professional development funds permitting faculty and staff to publish and present scholarly works, do research, and attend or present their work at professional conferences.
Fox Heritage Society
At one time or another, we all ponder the legacy we will leave our children, our families and our larger community. Making an investment in education has always been a way to guarantee that we can make – and leave – the world a better place. Through the Fox Heritage Society, the Fox Cities campus can help this legacy live on through a planned gift. A charitable gift of any amount through a bequest can support the Fox Cities campus long after the donor is gone. Individuals who inform the Fox Cities campus of their intention to include the college in their estate plans will be inducted into the Fox Heritage Society.
