MSN to DNP Program

The Doctor of Nursing Practice–Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Emphasis is a MSN to DNP program that builds upon master’s-level nursing knowledge and skills. This hybrid program prepares graduates for the highest level of nursing practice by integrating courses in evidence-based practice, informatics, leadership, collaboration, and knowledge of systems and healthcare policy with specialized FNP education. Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the FNP certification examination.

The College offers a full-time (three year) or part-time (four year) plan of study, though exceptions may be made based on an applicant’s qualifications, including prior coursework in advanced health assessment, pathophysiology and pharmacology covering the entire lifespan; amount of clinical hours practiced; and/or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) competencies. APRNs who are currently certified and active in clinical practice will be reviewed on an individual basis.
