Admission Requirements

The following requirements must be met prior to consideration for admission into the Master of Science in Nursing program at UW Oshkosh:

A) BSN from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing (NLNAC), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on College Nursing Education (CCNE)

B) Current, unencumbered RN license. 

C) Minimum 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA

    • Applicants with a GPA of 2.70 to 2.99 may be considered for admission under probationary status. GRE scores are required for such applicants.

D) Three professional references with knowledge of applicant’s current professional and/or academic skills

*Registered nurse experience is helpful but not required.

Note: Due to the competitive nature of the admission process applicants should understand that meeting the minimum standards does not guarantee admission into the program. Applicants will be screened and the most qualified individuals will be invited for an interview.
